Skin
Advice |
Spring is a time for renewal. Our skin needs to shed the dry old cells. A good cleansing and exfoliating facial is a must. Please remember to use sunscreen, one cause of premature aging is over exposure to the sun. |
Body
Advice |
Exfoliate, Exfoliate, keep it moisturized and please use sunscreen and don't forget to get a mole check from your dermatologist at least once per year. |
Make-Up
Advice |
Start with lips, then cheeks, then eyes. If you put on your lip color first, you'll see that you look pretty finished already, so you'll use less blush & Shadow. Try some new pastel eye shadows for the spring and nude lip color. |
Hair
Advice |
Just like skin we need to get rid of the dry brittle ends that we accumulated during the winter months. Deep conditioning treatment is a must for Spring. Remember, Redken has wonderful products that are UV protecting with moisturizers and sunscreens.
Hair bands are in for Spring/Summer - for sexy volume, run a fine tooth comb back and forth through the roots at the crown of your head, lightly smooth the top with a brush then carefully slip on your favorite headband. |
Home Facial Mask Recipe |
Carrot, Avocado & Cream Nourishing Mask
The combination of carrot (high in beta-carotene and anti-oxidant vitamins), heavy cream
and avocado (a rich source of vitamin E) in this facial mask will improve skin texture, diminish age spots and rebuild skin collagen when used with regularity.
Recipe:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 carrot, cooked and mashed
1 avocado, peeled, pitted and mashed
3 tablespoons honey
combine ingredients in a bowl and spread over face and neck. Relax 15 minutes then rinse with cool water.
